Whether you live, are traveling to, or are just curious about what the weather conditions are like above Grass Valley and Nevada City, you’ve come to the right place.
As we all know, weather conditions here in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California are unique and can vary and change rapidly with elevation and location. With that in mind, the purpose of this website, my Facebook page and Weather Station is to give updates, along with the latest weather and road conditions, analysis and forecasts with a focus on the upper elevations (Cascade Shores, Banner Mtn, 5 Mile House etc) of the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills of Western Nevada County.
Being a longtime resident and with over 40 years of weather observation and experience here in Nevada county, Cascade Shores Weather provides a service no one else does – since 2009, it provides the only 24 hr weather station, observations, weather cam and online Blog for the Cascade Shores, Scotts Flat Lake area, providing information frequently not covered in the local tv. radio or online media. That includes the latest local road conditions and most accurate forecast for the upper foothills of western Nevada County.
I believe having information like this is critical, especially during the wintertime and other severe storms.
So I invite you to bookmark this website as well as like my Facebook Weather page and share it with your friends.
Also, did you know that you can have 24 hour access to Cascade Shores Weather on your Smartphone – iPhone or Android device?
