Expect rain Sunday morning, changing over to snow above 3000-3500 during the day Sunday. Look for 1-2 inches of snow above 3000-3500 ft by Sunday night.
A colder, wetter storm will impact Nor Cal Monday, lasting into Wednesday with more snow and cold. Thunderstorms may even be possible at times with the cold and unstable air behind the cold front late Tuesday. Snow levels are forecast to drop to around 2500 ft with the second storm with 1-2 inches of snow possible above 2500 ft with 3-6 inches of snow possible above 3000-3500 ft, perhaps more by Wednesday morning.
Expect winter driving conditions at times, especially above 3000 feet for the next several days.
